Eyelid Lift Procedure Details

Depending on your needs and desired results, Dr. Sunde may focus on the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both.

For the upper eyelid, Dr. Sunde makes incisions that follow the natural lines of the eyelids, extending into the laugh lines or other existing creases. He generally conceals the incision within the natural fold of the upper eyelid. Through this incision, Dr. Sunde removes any excess skin and fatty tissue.

For a lower eyelid cosmetic procedure, Dr. Sunde often conceals an incision below the lower lashes. Through this incision, he removes any excess skin, muscle, and fat to create a more refined, refreshed appearance. In some cases, Dr. Sunde may redistribute this fat to eliminate puffiness or bulges. For some patients, Dr. Sunde can remove the fat in the lower lid from the inside of the lower eyelid (Conjunctiva), leaving no or limited external visible scars.
